Mercury Hazard Material Team
When the maintenance work or mini shutdowns are carried out, the monitoring of mercury has to be done to
prevent mercury overexposure to personnel. The monitoring includes the measurement of the surrounding
maintenance area, drain point and all other potential source of vapor release. Should the level of mercury
exceed the PEL, the maintenance work will be temporarily ceased and the decontamination will take place.
When the safe exposure level is achieved, the maintenance work will be resumed.
Mercury Mapping
The monitoring of mercury vapor is conducted on regular basis at various sensitive manned areas within
plant. The results of each monitoring are then mapped. Recommendations are then made to management
based on the findings.
Health and Safety Training
No Heat Resources can train your staff and contractors on the safe handling of mercury contaminated
equipment and the safe and effective application of our mercury removal chemical -
MeDeX 80. We can also
write procedural documentation for safe handling of contaminated equipment during general maintenance
including the appropriate PPE.
